HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEK to all of you!! I hope that this holiday season is filled with love, joy and many blessings.

This year, I have photographed over 215 portrait sessions and event photography combined and I’ve decided to take the end of November and the entire month of December off to finish all the projects still on the table from 2010 weddings and portrait sessions, as well as enjoy this little family of mine. For all the sessions that are currently booked, I can’t wait to photograph you all! For those of you who are interested in booking a family session, bridal session or engagement session, please email me for a list of photographers who I would gladly recommend or let’s schedule a shoot for January 2011.

I will be catching up on my blogging soon and can’t wait to post some sweet family photos of our little Life.

I wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING and a blessed holiday season!

With love,
Lauren

My Friends, the Jabeks

My friendship with the Jabeks began in 2007 when I photographed the season of their wedding. I’ll never forget the first time I met Mary Kay at the Starbucks in the West Village. My first observation was that she was beautiful on the outside and inside. I instantly knew that Mary Kay had a kind heart. Because of that I instantly loved her! I knew I wanted to know them. Then I met Markus. A strapping, quiet and kind Austrian with the greatest accent Dallas has ever heard. I was thrilled to be their photographer for their wedding and even more thrilled to be their friend. Over the years I have had the privilege to photograph them several times and follow their life through Facebook, Twitter and their blog. Almost three years ago Mary Kay and I were pregnant at the same time and our due dates were only 6 weeks apart. While I struggled through my pregnancy, Mary Kay prayed for our little Life and gave her her first Bible with her name engraved on it. (And I cried of course. Precious gift from a kind kind friend.)

In all, I have photographed their engagement session, Mary Kay’s bridal session, their wedding, Isaiah’s newborn photos and now… Isaiah’s 2 year photos. This post is a summary of our latest shoot at the Zoo and a tribute to the Jabeks. You guys are precious to me! It’s a privilege to watch your family grow.

With love…
~L
