Our besties just welcomed their first child, a son, William Robert… aka “Liam,” into the world on February 27th. Miss Life got to meet her future hubby the day after he was born. Although she had no idea what she was doing, she held Liam (and right after we got the photo she began to try and push him off while making a disgusted look like “mom, what the heck is that?” One day they’ll be good friends!
Here is the precious Mr. Liam on his 2nd day. He really is such a handsome little man!
Scott and Lindsay married on January 3, 2009 in Ft. Worth, Texas and had one of the most beautiful weddings imaginable. I love you guys dearly and just can’t thank you enough for the privilege to photograph your special day. Thanks to Andrew Shepherd for second shooting for me and to Shaun Menary for all your amazing work.
Scott and Lindsay are some of my greatest friends and hands down some of the best people this world has ever known. Enjoy these beautiful people!

BIG BOY was recently nationally syndicated with ABC Radio and I had the privilege to photograph his big debut in Dallas’ ABC Radio headquarters.
BIG BOY was hilarious! He seriously had me laughing the entire hour and half I was following him around photographing him. We even ended the shoot with him giving me and my good friend, Shaun Menary, an autographed photo of him and his team.
One interesting fact about Big Boy: He gets to the studio around 1:30am to begin his day doing LIVE shows from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific. Talk about dedication! This man is committed to bringing live shows to his LOYAL followers! He is LOVED in L.A. and will be even more loved nation-wide since he’s now covering the entire U.S.

Matt & I had the privilege to visit Ethos Church, in San Diego in November. What a joy to be able to photograph their beautiful church building and a festival put on by a local school. Although my trip was short and sweet (Matt got to stay a little bit longer than I did), I got to see that the people of Ethos Church are a restorative people longing to bring love and authenticity to the city of San Diego.

Lauren Larsen: Thanks Vanessa! YES! Liam is amazing and God is so so creative in how he really "knits us together." Liam has such a sweet disposition and it's just about the coolest thing to watch our friends become parents. It really does change us for the better. I love how life just gets better as we get older.
